Background/History
Father/Occupation: Jacob Gilmore/ Doctor
Mother/Occupation: Evangeline Gilmore/Auror.
Hometown: Phoenix, Arizona.
Siblings: A younger sister, too young for Hogwarts yet,
Pets: She owns a Great-Horned Owl known as Sparos.
General Description: Alyssa was born in the United States. Phoenix, Arizona to be specific. But at around four years old, when her mother got pregnant with her younger sister, Maddy, the family moved to Britain. While it took a little time to adjust to the change of scenery, Alyssa was soon on her way again, and it wasn't long before she could start school. Her parents allowed her to attend a muggle school for her elementary years. Until she was around seven years of age, Alyssa didn't really understand much about magic. But as her parents began to teach her, she learned more and more of this.
Although her parents had told her to keep her heritage a secret from her friends at school, Alyssa found it hard to do so. She struggled with things a bit, and eventually ended up telling her best friend, Lexie. She did get in a bit of trouble for this, but Lexie had promised to keep it a secret.
Things were going fairly well for Alyssa. Her life was almost normal now, aside from the magical jumble at home. Although her father accepted magic, he always seemed rather uncomfortable when it was used in the house. As a result, her mother had told Maddy and her to try refraining from using it, even on accident. Things usually didn't turn out this way, though.
And then, on her eleventh birthday, her parents gave Alyssa her Hogwarts letter. She was sort of confused at first. But when she learned what it was, Alyssa at first refused to go. She had a life here, even if it wasn't a very magical one. She had friends, she liked her school, her town...but her parents were firm. They were sending her to Hogwarts...and she'd have to learn to like it.

Even in the darkest forest
>>The gray aurora that was the sky, the cold sorrow that was the mist, the looming shadows that were the trees, they were the marshland. They seemed to grieve for the loss of a cat who's life was not yet fulfilled, the untimely death that had gripped the forest. The unfinished life of one who was only an apprentice. Indeed, the world seemed to cry for Lightpaw, the ShadowClan apprentice who had just departed for StarClan.
>>A lithe tortoiseshell figure bounded through the undergrowth blindly. She did not heed bramble or stone, simply ran bluntly through the forest. And eventually, the silence of the marsh was disturbed as the young she-cat burst through the undergrowth and out into the swampy scenery. Hollypaw ran on, as if trying to outrun the pain growing inside of her. She only just stopped short of the murky bog banks, panting. Her hazed optics were shut tightly, as if denying, refusing the reality before her.
>>Hollypaw stood bluntly, her heart pounding in her chest so hard that it almost pained her. But she was hardly concerned with it now. Lightpaw, gone, dead....and it was all her fault. She forced herself not to tremble, forced herself to regain the emotionless control over herself she once had. The reality of the situation was just now beginning to sink in, and with it, a sorrow deeper than anything she had ever felt. And so Hollypaw stood, head bowed for a long moment.
>>And then, all at once, her head whipped upward. Fiery mint-green eyes flickered open at last, and flashed dangerously at the sky. They pierced the heavens intensely, but in a way they were unseeing. Every hair on Hollypaw's mottled pelt bristled furiously. Sadness, confusion, denial were all transforming into a whirl of a single emotion: anger. Anger at herself, at Flickerpaw, at StarClan, at everything. No stars could be seen in the hazy night, but she knew that they were out there. Or had StarClan abandoned her too?
The fireflies are blinking
>>This is all a game to you, isn't it?Hollypaw yowled to the sky, demanding of StarClan.Optics blazed with an uncontrolled anger, and behind it a flicker of vainly masked pain.Tortoiseshell fur was fluffed and bristling. Ears were pinned back against her head, and her long tail lashed behind her. Pain was revealed in every action, but there was no sense of emotion coming off of the she-cat right now as there was in her creamy eyes. With a flick of a paw, you just kill off someone, and don't even think of how it might effect a Clan! You....you're selfish! You say it's destiny, but you control destiny! You didn't even give him a chance to become a warrior!
>>Anger and pain rang in every syllable of the speech. Hollypaw didn't care if anyone heard her, she didn't care if she seemed like an idiot yowling like this. All she cared about was having someone to blame. Someone to take her pain out on. Eyes blazed, and while Hollypaw had expected her voice to shake or quiver, now came lines of strength and fury at her warrior ancestors.
>>And yet, no answer came. The whole forest was completely silent.Hollypaw didn't know what she had expected, but the silence only seemed to infuriate the she-cat more. Answer me! She yowled, and if possible, the femme's call was even louder and more demanding than before. And the only response she got was more silence. No signs, no words, just silence. For a moment, Hollypaw sustained her position, paws placed firmly on the ground. And then, slowly, the tortoiseshell seemed to shrink. The usually fiery apprentice now looked very small. Her mottled pelt seemed dulled and flat. Tail drooped behind her, and the spark went out of her eyes.
>>Answer me...
>>The command was more of a plead now. If Hollypaw's voice had once been strong and unwavering, it was now soft and shaky. No matter how hard she tried to fight it; no matter how hard she tried to stay strong, Hollypaw was breaking down. Slowly, she sat, as if slumping, and let her mint-green gaze rest in the murky water. Her reflection was dimmed and nearly invisible, as well as distorted by the wavering surface. The paw-prints that showed the path of from where she had came were disappearing as well as the wind covered them with gentle layers of sand. It was as if Hollypaw too were fading away from the earth.
>>And as she surveyed her reflection, Hollypaw's spirits weren't brightened by the small, defeated cat that looked back at her. Unable to bear it, Hollypaw looked away, letting her head bow. Green optics closed once more. This was the side of pain and defeat that Hollypaw never let anyone see. She hoped StarClan were happy.
But not in this abyss
