General Rules
1. Show respect to all members, particularly to admins and mods. Staff word is law. If we see you being cruel or unfair to other members, you will be punished.
2. No swearing in or out of character.
3. If you have a problem with another member, please speak to a staff member about it. There will be no fights, insults, or arguments on the boards or in the C-box. If you must, deal with it through PMs.
4. If you have a problem with a staff member or a site policy, please PM me at username “admin”.
5. Use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation in all posts on the forum including out-of-character posting. Net speak and shortcuts will not be tolerated.
6. You may play as many characters as you feel you are able. However, inactive accounts will be deleted. *You must fill out an application for each character that you wish to play.*
7. If you are going to be away for an extended period of time, please post in the Platform 9 ¾ Board and let us know so that we don’t delete your accounts.
8. Wait for an administrator to approve your profile before posting in the roleplay boards.
8. The administration reserves the right to suspend or ban member accounts for continued failure to comply with the rules.
Roleplay Rules
1. Use (( )) for “out of character” comments. These comments should be restricted as much as possible – use the OOC Boards for general discussions.
2. Roleplay posts should be in third person, not first and in past tense. I.e. Narrah stared blankly at him before realization came over her. NOT: “I stared blankly at him before realization came to me.” OR “Narrah stares blankly…”
3. Posts must be at least 250 words long. This is an advanced roleplay and we would like to maintain this distinction.
4. No god-modding. You cannot include in your post the thoughts, actions, and feelings of another character unless they have already been explicitly described.
5. No killing another character without administrative approval and permission of that character’s player.
6. As in all forum posts, roleplay posts should use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. Use spell check if necessary. No net speak or shortcuts allowed.
7. RP posts should be made in novel/book form. Actions and descriptions are in normal sentence form. Speech should be between quotation marks and bold. Flashbacks or quotes for other characters should be bold and italics. Your characters thoughts should also be in italics.
